About the role

The Area Credit Manager is responsible for managing the credit underwriting and portfolio quality of retail and SME lending business across the assigned geography. The role involves evaluating loan proposals, conducting credit assessments, ensuring adherence to credit policies, minimizing credit risk, and supporting business growth while maintaining portfolio health.

What you'll do

• Credit Appraisal & Underwriting
• Assess and approve loan proposals within delegated authority limits
• Conduct detailed analysis of customer financials, repayment capacity, banking behavior, and credit history
• Evaluate secured and unsecured loan applications as per company policies
• Review legal, technical, and valuation reports for secured lending cases

What you need

• 7–12 yrs of experience
• Credit risk
• Credit appraisal
• Collections
• Risk management
• Team management
• Financial analysis
• Chartered Accountant or CMA or MBA
