Advanced Engineer - Wind Blades NPI

About the role

As Structural Design Engineer, you will support design and analysis of structure model of a composite wind turbine blade with accountability & ownership for assigned responsibilities through fundamental understanding of FEA methods & processes. In this role, you will utilize your experience to independently execute FEA activities during different phase of product design by providing clear and timely results.

What you'll do

• Own composite structure design & analysis for NPI blade and develop design solutions that are competitive in performance, cost, and quality
• Partner closely with Lead Structural Engineer to deliver FEA results within stringent timeline from predesign phase to implementation in factory
• Perform FEA analysis of composite structure concepts using ABAQUS, PATRAN & In-house tools
• Highlight critical design risks for failure modes related to 3D FE evaluation and suggest mitigation plan
• Ensure documentation of FEA results on final design to ensure fulfilment of all certification and internal design criterions for the blade structure
