About the role

An agronomist is a specialized agricultural scientist who applies scientific principles and knowledge to optimize crop production, improve soil health, and enhance overall agricultural sustainability. Agronomists work closely with farmers, agricultural businesses, and research institutions to develop innovative and efficient farming practices that maximize crop yields while minimizing environmental impact.

What you'll do

• Provide guidance on planting schedules, irrigation methods, fertilization, and pest management to optimize crop growth and minimize losses
• Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest agricultural research and technologies
• Conduct experiments, field trials, and data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of new agricultural techniques, seeds, and products
• Recommend integrated pest management strategies, including the use of biological controls and appropriate chemical applications when necessary
• Ensure that farming practices align with local laws and regulations

What you need
