Analyst - RB - Payments - Processing & Transfers

About the role

This role supports the accurate and timely processing of payments within banking operations. The individual applies foundational knowledge of banking principles and payment systems to ensure transactions are processed efficiently and in compliance with standard procedures. They participate in issue identification, contribute to process enhancements, and assist in generating reports to monitor business performance.

What you'll do

• Process payments using payment applications by applying foundational knowledge of SWIFT messages (MT202, MT103, MT299, MT191 to MT999)
• Validate transaction documentation by verifying cash, cheque, and ACH payment instructions according to internal guidelines
• Assist in identifying basic issues within payment processing workflows by reviewing routine transactions and escalating discrepancies as needed
• Support the implementation of process improvements by following documented solutions and enhancements within assigned tasks
• Prepare basic reports and analyses using payment system data to support business monitoring activities
