Analytics Engineer

About the role

The Data Science, Analytics and Engineering team supports several lines of business across the company by partnering closely with business leaders and engineering to model, analyze, and surface business relevant metrics that inform both short- and long-term decision-making. Zillow Group is a strategic, mission-driven organization focused on delivering exceptional experiences and measurable outcomes.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain dimensional data models and metric definitions using SQL and dbt (or equivalent)
• Design data-quality tests, monitoring, and alerting so your data products are trusted by default
• Partner with data engineering to define upstream requirements and fix data-quality issues at the source
• Contribute to semantic layer definitions that make metrics usable by BI tools, data scientists, and AI systems alike
