Asset Accountant - US

About the role

The Asset Accountant is responsible for managing fixed asset records, calculating depreciation, reconciling asset balances, coordinating physical inventories, and preparing asset reports. The role also supports asset valuation, disposal decisions, and internal audits while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.

What you'll do

• Maintain fixed asset records for acquisitions, transfers, revaluations, and disposals
• Calculate and post depreciation in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
• Reconcile the fixed asset register with the general ledger and investigate discrepancies
• Coordinate annual physical asset inventories, document findings, and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze and report asset performance, including Return on Assets (ROA) and useful life
