About the role

Responsible for the orientation and induction for new and junior staff and Trainee Nurses to the routine procedures of the unit. Deputies the Nursing Supervisor in her overall clinical, academic and administrative performance of the unit. Is responsible and accountable for the delivery of care provided in accordance with organization/department philosophy

What you'll do

• Responsible primarily for coordination of patient care and maintaining Nursing practice within the specified unit
• Responsible for the orientation and induction for new and junior staff and Trainee Nurses to the routine procedures of the unit
• Assist the Nursing Supervisor or ANS in developing short and long range goals and objective for the unit and to be aware of the departments performance
• Responsible for the implementation of policies which enable most effective use of nursing resources
