Associate/Senior Associate - Lending Operations

About the role

The Lending Operations team is the backbone of OakNorth's lending business. We own the end-to-end operational lifecycle of loans — from booking through to in-life management — across Syndicated, Agency, and Bilateral facilities. We work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit, and Legal to make sure every loan is set up accurately, managed precisely, and documented correctly.

What you'll do

• Own accurate and timely loan booking across Syndicated, Agency, and Bilateral facilities, ensuring data integrity across systems from day one of each transaction
• Manage in-life loan activities — including drawdowns, repayments, rollovers, and amendments — within agreed SLAs and with a low error rate
• Review and interpret LMA and other legal loan documentation to ensure operational set-up reflects agreed terms, flagging discrepancies proactively
• Manage queries and tasks by loan and customer type, acting as a reliable point of contact for internal stakeholders and resolving issues with speed and accuracy
• Identify and escalate operational risks or process gaps, contributing to continuous improvement of lending operations workflows
