Asst Manager - EHS

About the role

To implement, monitor and continuously improve Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) systems across shipbuilding operations at Kattupalli Shipyard, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, client requirements and applicable international standards. The role involves identifying and mitigating workplace risks, strengthening safety practices and promoting a proactive EHS culture across manufacturing, construction and marine operations.

What you'll do

• Implement and monitor EHS management systems across shipbuilding facilities, workshops, fabrication areas, wet berths, dry docks and marine operations
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements, environmental regulations, company EHS standards, client requirements and international best practices
• Conduct periodic risk assessments, workplace safety inspections and hazard identification exercises; recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
• Administer and monitor the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including hot work, confined space entry, work at height, electrical isolation and lifting operations
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, undertake Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive measures
