Buyer (Medical Procurement)

About the role

As a Buyer (Medical Procurement) BSM Cruise, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement and delivery of medical supplies for vessels, ensuring requirements are accurately fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role plays a key part in supporting vessel operations by maintaining the availability of medicines and medical consumables onboard while ensuring compliance with procurement standards and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and manage quarterly and ad hoc medical supply requirements received from vessels
• Review medical requisitions and select appropriate medicines and medical consumables for procurement
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on pricing, availability, specifications, delivery schedules, and commercial terms
• Prepare purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and requirements
• Monitor procurement activities from order placement through delivery, ensuring timely and accurate supply of medical items onboard
