You will speak the campaign’s point of view, manage the media relationships that carry it, and correct the record when coverage drifts from fact. The press remembers voices that were straight with them — a spokesperson’s credibility is the campaign’s credit line with the media, spent carefully and rebuilt slowly.

What you'll do

• Speak the campaign’s point of view, manage the media relationships that carry it, and correct the record when coverage drifts from fact
• Manage media relationships: pitching stories, arranging interviews, answering reporters accurately and fast
• Monitor news coverage continuously and correct inaccuracies before they set
• Use: Media monitoring suites, Press-list and outreach management, Statement drafting in shared docs, Rapid-response channel coordination
