Commis (Chinese)

About the role

We are seeking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis (Chinese) to join our culinary team ibis Kolkata Rajarhat, India. In this entry-level position, you will work within our professional kitchen, developing your expertise in Chinese cuisine whilst supporting the senior chefs in food preparation and service.

What you'll do

• Prepare and cook Chinese dishes according to established recipes and chef's instructions, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation
• Perform mise en place activities, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients with precision and efficiency
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with organisational policies
• Assist senior chefs in food preparation, plating, and garnishing of Chinese cuisine dishes
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including woks, steamers, and other specialised chinese cooking apparatus
