Community Health Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Community Health Assistant (CHA) to support the implementation of the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Study under the Nashik Arogya Sampada project. The CHA will be assigned a cluster of villages and will be responsible for community-based screening, basic health assessments, patient follow-up, and data collection, particularly for hypertension and diabetes.

What you'll do

• Conduct community-level screening for hypertension and diabetes in assigned villages
• Measure and record basic health parameters, including blood pressure and blood glucose, following training and approved study protocols
• Identify individuals who require further medical consultation and support referrals to the appropriate healthcare provider
• Register patients and accurately record screening information using a smartphone-based application
• Conduct household visits, community mobilization, and patient follow-ups as required by the study
