About the role

The Head TBML leads the Bank’s framework for identifying, assessing, and mitigating Trade-Based Money Laundering risks across import, export, trade finance, and cross-border remittance channels. The role provides strategic direction, ensures regulatory compliance, enhances system-based controls, and drives governance for TBML monitoring in alignment with global best practices and RBI/FIU-IND expectations.

What you'll do

• Establish and oversee the Bank’s TBML Risk policy and Frameworks covering customer onboarding, documentation review, transaction monitoring, and post-transaction analysis
• Oversee quality assurance, periodic reviews, and thematic assessments of trade portfolios to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions
• Lead TBML risk assessments for trade and cross-border products, identifying emerging typologies and high-risk patterns
• Drive enhancements to system-based s, rule engines, and analytics for detecting anomalies such as circular trade, over/under-invoicing, third-party payments
• Review high-value or sensitive trade transactions and provide expert advisory to business, operations, and compliance teams
