About the role

The Credit Manager – Education Loan is responsible for managing the credit underwriting process for education loan proposals, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks. Based in Mumbai, this role involves evaluating student profiles, academic backgrounds, and future employability to make informed credit decisions.

What you'll do

• Recommend improvements to credit policies and procedures, ensuring documentation and communication to mitigate risks and enhance service quality
• Collaborate with the Product Head to support the design and rollout of new products
• Implement credit policies to maintain portfolio quality and meet turnaround time (TAT) targets
• Conduct personal discussions with students and parents to assess creditworthiness, including evaluation of academic performance, course selection
• Leverage automation and digitization tools to improve process efficiency
