CTO Robotics Research Engineer Controls

About the role

This role focuses on advancing the state-of-the-art in robotics control through Reinforcement Learning (RL), Imitation Learning (IL), and Vision-Language Action (VLA) models. The successful candidate will contribute to ground-breaking research and development in intelligent robotics, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful solutions.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement advanced control algorithms for robotic systems using RL, IL, and VLA methodologies
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and researchers within the Robotics & Embodied AI team
• Conduct cutting-edge research in areas such as motion planning, manipulation, and autonomous decision-making for robots
• Prototype and validate algorithms in simulated and real-world environments, utilising platforms such as ROS, NVIDIA Omniverse ISAAC Sim
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven controls into next-generation robotic products
