Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager – Purchasing

About the role

Release purchase orders to approved suppliers ensuring accuracy of part numbers, quantities, prices, delivery dates, and technical specifications. Expedite critical and delayed deliveries to meet assembly schedules and prevent production stoppages due to material shortages. Preparation of Purchasing MIS documents with detailed analysis against defined KPI’s and presentation.

What you'll do

• Coordinate with Planning team to understand material requirements, prioritize urgent orders, and align procurement schedules with production timelines
• Follow up with suppliers for order acknowledgment, production status updates, and on-time delivery confirmations
• Track open purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and provide regular status updates to Planning, Manufacturing, and Management teams
• Coordinate with Engineering team for technical clarifications on engineered items including drawings, specifications, material grades, and quality requirements
• Work with Quality team to resolve supplier quality issues, non-conformances, rejections, and implement corrective actions with vendors
