Deputy Manager – HR Compliance

About the role

Overview We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable HR Labour Compliance Assistant/Deputy Manager to join our team HR Compliance Team in India. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of hands-on experience in labour compliance, a deep understanding of Indian labour laws, and a passion for fostering a fair, ethical, and compliant workplace.

What you'll do

• Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in labour legislation and assess their impact on business operations
• Draft, review, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure alignment with statutory requirements
• Coordinate and manage external audits and inspections by authorities such as the Labour Department, EPF, and ESI
• Ensure proper licensing and registration for contractors and the establishment as needed
• Handle labour disputes, grievances, and disciplinary matters in accordance with legal requirements
