Design Engineer - Body Structures (BIW)

About the role

Responsible for designing and developing Body in White (BIW) components that meet performance, cost, and manufacturing goals. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions with a focus on structural integrity, efficiency, and compliance. 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation using CAD software (Catia V5/V6, NX, etc.)

What you'll do

• Responsible for designing and developing Body in White (BIW) components that meet performance, cost, and manufacturing goals
• Design and development of BIW structures including pillars, roof rails, cross members, floor panels, etc
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CAE, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Quality) to meet product requirements
• Support DFMEA, DVP, and validation plan preparation
• Interact with suppliers for tooling feasibility and part manufacturability

What you need

• 5–7 yrs of experience
• GD&T
• CATIA
• Welding
• Data privacy
• FMEA
• Root cause analysis
• B.Tech or B.E. or Diploma
