Design Engineer HVCB - Mechanical

About the role

Ayr designs and manufactures critical power grid equipment including power transformers, distribution transformers, special-purpose transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, and medium-voltage switchgear. They serve markets such as renewables, data centers, utilities, oil & gas, and industrial sectors.

What you'll do

• The basic Mechanical design of HV circuit breaker analysing mechanical and structural integrity, tolerancing, dimensioning and manufacturability
• Define the parts and its clearances for manufacturing
• Analyse the mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing of parts to activate and support phenomenon of arc chamber and gaseous in dynamic condition
• Define Qualification requirements of the parts and assembly as per the design to meet the type test and routine test performance
• Define design parameters as per the IEEE / IEC Type tests of DTCB

What you need

• 3–5 yrs of experience
• GD&T
• Structural design
• B.Tech or B.E.
