Design Engineer

About the role

We're hiring a Design Engineer to sit across our design and engineering teams. This person will build, own, and maintain our design system — working across Figma and React to design and ship design at a production standard. The role is biased toward design. You should have strong design sensibility — you care deeply about typography, spacing, interaction quality, and the details that compound into how a product feels.

What you'll do

• Build, own, and maintain the design system as a coded React component library (Storybook, tokens, documentation)
• Design and build UI in both Figma and code — working in real-time collaboration with the design and engineering teams
• Set up and manage a contribution process for the design system so other teams can adopt and extend it
• Set up, document, and maintain components to a production standard
• Work with the engineering team to implement the design system across products

What you need

• 1–3 years in mechanical & production
• Design systems
• Figma

• TypeScript
• Accessibility
• Prototyping
• Any graduate
