Director of Design

About the role

The Design organization at PayU builds products that power real businesses and move real money at scale. The team operates at the intersection of user insight, technology, and business strategy. Grounded in research, data, and strong cross-functional collaboration, designers own experiences end-to-end and drive clarity across complex problem spaces.

What you'll do

• Own the quality and consistency of end-to-end experiences across merchant, consumer, partner, and developer journeys
• Champion customer and merchant perspectives at the leadership level, ensuring user needs meaningfully inform product strategy and execution
• Drive product discovery and experience innovation through research, insights, and a strong understanding of market and competitive dynamics
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, Sales, and Marketing leaders to ensure design is embedded early and effectively in decision-making
• Use data and experience metrics to measure impact, guide prioritization, and continuously improve product outcomes
