Engineering Analyst, Payments Trust and Safety

About the role

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads.

What you'll do

• Investigate fraud and abuse incidents, identify patterns and trends in order to generate holistic risk management solutions
• Perform end-to-end assessment of the riskiness and vulnerability of products and features, design, and implement fraud and abuse mitigation strategies
• Perform statistical analysis using payments and risk data warehouse. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to create and enhance tools, develop signals
• Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams globally. Work closely with engineers, product managers
• Participate in the on call rotation schedule to manage high priority escalations that may occur outside of standard non work hours including weekends/holidays

What you need
