Finance Senior Analyst- Fuel Tax

About the role

Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to Fuel Tax Analysts responsible for the preparation, filing, payment, and reconciliation of fuel excise and other related tax returns. Review fuel tax returns for accuracy, completeness, appropriate tax treatment, supporting documentation, and timely filing/payment.

What you'll do

• Responsible for the preparation, filing, payment, and reconciliation of fuel excise and other related tax returns
• Review fuel tax returns for accuracy, completeness, appropriate tax treatment, supporting documentation, and timely filing/payment
• Review associated general ledger reconciliations, investigate material differences and ensure reconciling items are appropriately resolved
• Monitor compliance calendars and ensure federal, state, and other jurisdictional filing and payment deadlines are met
• Prepare, support and/or review fuel and excise tax internal controls, including SOX-related controls, control evidence and financial reporting deliverables
