GL Accounting Specialist

About the role

Based in Mumbai, the GL Accountant will support the general ledger accounting and financial closing activities of French entities, working closely with the France accounting team to ensure accurate accounting records and timely reporting. Carry out month-end and year-end closing activities within agreed deadlines.

What you'll do

• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and supported by appropriate documentation
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other closing adjustments
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and follow up on outstanding items
• Maintain fixed asset records and prepare related accounting entries
• Reconcile intercompany balances and coordinate with the relevant teams to resolve differences
