Hardware & Lab Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented hardware & lab technician to own the manufacturing, testing and debugging of electronic hardware, and to own day-to-day lab operations. You will work closely with hardware and software engineers and take end-to-end ownership of lab management. The role involves end-to-end ownership of PCB manufacturing, prototype development, hardware testing, and day-to-day lab operations.

What you'll do

• Record the results and keep BOMs and test procedures up to date
• Prototype Build, Debug & Rework: Assemble prototype and test boards, including soldering and hand-populating components, and prepare cables, adapters and test fixtures
• Carry out hardware bring-up, debugging and testing using lab instruments
• Perform failure analysis on faulty boards, and modifications to assembled PCBs such as rework, component replacement, jumper wires and cuts
• Document every board modification, debug finding and root cause
