Insurance Verification & Authorization Specialist ( Onsite Kolkata)

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification & Authorization Specialist with experience in customer service, healthcare administration, insurance verification, or managed care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits, obtaining required authorizations, communicating coverage details, and ensuring all payer requirements are completed before services are provided.

What you'll do

• Contact insurance carriers to verify active policy status, co-pays, deductibles, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums, and provider network status
• Obtain and track pre-authorizations and Letters of Agreement required by payers for specific treatments, services, or medical devices
• Communicate insurance coverage details and estimated patient financial responsibility to providers and relevant teams
• Resolve insurance discrepancies in coordination with clinical and billing departments
• Update patient information in Electronic Health Record (EHR), Electronic Medical Record (EMR), or practice management systems

What you need
