Lead Electrical Engineer – HVDC Systems for PMC

About the role

The role will focus on reviewing contractor and OEM designs, ensuring compliance with employer requirements, applicable standards, grid-code obligations and project performance criteria.

What you'll do

• Lead technical review of HVDC system design, converter-station configuration and overall system architecture
• Review contractor and OEM engineering documents, including design criteria, specifications, calculations, studies, drawings and technical reports
• Verify compliance with project requirements, approved design basis, applicable IEC, IEEE, CIGRE and utility standards
• Review HVDC system ratings, operating modes, control philosophy, protection philosophy and equipment performance requirements
• Review power-system studies, including: Load flow and fault level
