About the role

The Machinery Diagnostics & Condition Monitoring Engineer is part of the Reliability Engineering team in the Chevron ENGINE center. This role is responsible for advanced diagnostics, failure investigations, and reliability improvement of critical / complex rotating equipment.

What you'll do

  • Perform advanced machinery diagnostics and failure investigations on critical and complex rotating equipment, including Gas Turbines
  • Execute in-depth vibration and condition-based diagnostics to identify early-stage faults, abnormal operating behavior, and degradation mechanisms
  • Support major equipment overhauls, commissioning, startup, and post-overhaul condition assessments
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive and implement actions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to condition monitoring engineers and junior diagnostics staff
