Machinist (Grinder) (Apprenticeship)

About the role

A Technician Machinist is responsible for manufacturing, shaping, and finishing metal and other materials using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, grinders, and CNC machines. They interpret technical drawings, set up and operate machinery, measure components for accuracy, and ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.

What you'll do

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools
• Manufacture and machine parts to required dimensions and tolerances
• Use precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
