What you'll do

• Design, write and review production Java code — services, APIs, event consumers, transformations
• Run code review as a routine discipline, giving specific, teachable feedback and holding a consistent quality bar across the team
• Plan and oversee the squad’s sprint or iteration work, unblock engineers, rebalance workload and keep delivery status visible and honest
• Own the squad’s production services: monitoring, alerting, on-call or escalation participation, incident triage, root cause analysis and follow-up remediation
• Drive automated testing and CI/CD practice for the squad — unit, integration and contract tests, pipeline quality gates, and repeatable, low-drama releases
