Manufacturing Technical Lead Engineer - Fixtures design

About the role

This position requires strong mechanical design expertise, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Grade 27 engineers are expected to operate with minimal supervision, solve complex technical problems, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the global fixture engineering organization.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of manufacturing fixtures, assembly aids, test fixtures, lifting devices, carts, transportation equipment, and automation-ready tooling
• Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical documentation
• Execute design calculations, tolerance stack-ups, load analysis, and design verification activities
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), ergonomics, safety, and reliability principles
• Develop schedules, identify risks, and proactively communicate project status
