Marine Superintendent (Offshore)

About the role

As a Marine Superintendent (Offshore) at BSM, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant marine operation of assigned offshore vessels and assets. This role is pivotal in supporting operational excellence, maintaining high standards of marine safety, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, flag State, class, client and company requirements.

What you'll do

• Monitor and oversee the marine performance and operational readiness of assigned offshore vessels and assets
• Provide marine and operational support to vessel teams, including guidance on navigation, seamanship, cargo operations, offshore activities and emergency response
• Ensure compliance with applicable maritime legislation, flag State and port State requirements, classification rules, client standards and company policies
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management System, Company Management System and relevant offshore operating procedures
• Plan, coordinate and follow up on vessel inspections, audits, marine assurance activities, incident investigations and corrective actions
