Materials & Process Engineer

About the role

You will research and qualify materials for different aircraft applications, build reliable material databases and models, and translate those results into repeatable manufacturing processes.

What you'll do

• Research and evaluate composite materials for different aircraft structures and operating environments
• Develop and characterize CFRP, GFRP, and honeycomb sandwich structures for primary and secondary aircraft applications
• Design and execute coupon-level material characterization and validation programs
• Develop and maintain material allowables, databases, and material models for structural analysis
• Develop and validate adhesive systems, including adhesive selection, characterization, modelling, and manufacturing application
