About the role

The Lead Mechanical Design Engineer for Piping and Static Equipment in the oil and gas sector is a senior role responsible for the overall management of mechanical design activities on complex projects. This role includes guiding a team of engineers, developing project specifications, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams from the conceptual design phase through commissioning.

What you'll do

• Leadership and project management
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of mechanical engineers and designers to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget
• Develop and implement project execution plans, coordination procedures, and quality plans
• Act as the primary technical contact for clients, fostering strong customer relationships
• Ensure a formal and disciplined technical communication protocol is maintained throughout the project lifecycle
