Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Develop complete design of electro-mechanical assemblies (3D) and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) for new product designs and modifications to existing products. Standards, tolerances, bolted and welded joints, mechanical stability Propose efficient design solutions and alternatives. Show a proactive attitude toward design improvements.

What you'll do

• Design and optimize sheet metal components, enclosures, busbars, barriers, and other mechanical parts within switchgear systems
• Conduct feasibility study and design analysis to ensure mechanical integrity and functionality
• Create Detailed technical documentation including BOM’s (Bill Of Materials) and assembly drawings and maintain product data in ERP
• Evaluate component selection and material properties to meet performance requirements and cost targets
