Mechanical Design (Gas turbine parts in general)

About the role

Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of the gas turbine components including compressors, turbines, shafts, bearing systems, and stationary structures within the turbojet and turbofan development programs. This role requires expert knowledge in mechanical design, integrity, gas turbine propulsion, planning for projects and ability to develop individuals.

What you'll do

• Design and optimize the gas turbine static and rotary systems for life, weight, manufacturability and cost
• Carry out Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing tasks, define assembly procedures
• Prepare drawings and define manufacturing guidelines
• Carry out FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) to support the safety and operability assessments
• Support other team members, develop junior engineers and provide constructive feedback

What you need

• 5–15 yrs of experience
• MATLAB
• Mechanical engineering
• Siemens NX
• ANSYS
• SolidWorks
• C
• B.Tech or B.E.
