Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Design Engineer is responsible for the design and engineering of pump packages, pump components, layouts, and associated project technical documentation. This role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality, manufacturable, and customer-focused engineered solutions in alignment with Flowserve standards, processes, and business objectives.

What you'll do

• Design and develop pump packages, pump components, hydraulic systems, and related assemblies using 2D and 3D CAD tools, primarily SolidWorks
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, models, layouts, bills of materials, and project-related technical documentation
• Perform varied and complex engineering assignments with minimal supervision, applying appropriate judgment, technical expertise, and prioritization
• Review and check own work as well as design and drafting work completed by team members to ensure compliance with engineering requirements, drafting standards
• Apply strong knowledge of GD&T, machining drawing practices, tolerancing, material selection, and design-for-manufacturability principles
