What you'll do

• Work the cycle for live engagements — assemble and verify facts from primary sources, records and wire copy, then write the piece while it still has news value
• Own the media-monitoring briefs behind reputation and political mandates: what ran, where, what it claimed, and why it matters to this client this morning
• Develop and maintain the desk's source network — outlets, beats, bylines and public records — so coverage is faster and better-sourced than a search refresh
• Use: Media-monitoring dashboards, Newsroom CMS with wire pacing, AP / Reuters-class house style guides, Fact-check databases and public-records portals
