About the role

We are looking for a motivated entry-level Data Scientist with a strong grounding in statistics and quantitative methods to join our Risk Analytics team in the NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company) domain. This role is well-suited to candidates who enjoy applying statistical reasoning and quantitative techniques to real-world financial data.

What you'll do

• Apply statistical and quantitative techniques — descriptive statistics, probability distributions, hypothesis testing, correlation, and regression — to analyze loan
• Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, validation, and exploratory data analysis (EDA) using statistical methods to identify patterns, outliers, and relationships
• Support the development and statistical evaluation of ML models for credit risk and customer segmentation
• Use statistical techniques (e.g., univariate/multivariate analysis, variable significance testing) to build and refine scorecards and risk models
• Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data; build dashboards and MIS reports in Excel and Power BI
