Power Electronics Engineer

About the role

The Power Electronics Engineer role is a hands-on one spanning power conversion, power distribution, motor control, embedded hardware, and high-power electrical systems. You will take hardware from architecture and schematic design through PCB development, fabrication, testing, and integration.

What you'll do

• Design and develop power electronics for hybrid-electric powertrains, including rectifiers, power distribution board, PCUs, DC-DC converters, motor controllers/ESCs
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts, power stages, gate drives, sensing, protection, and control interfaces
• Design and optimize power distribution architecture across generators, batteries, motors, and electrical loads
• Perform component selection, electrical sizing, thermal analysis, failure mode identification, and derating for aerospace applications
• Lead prototype development including board bring-up, debugging, characterization, hardware validation and integration
