Primary Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Primary Design Engineer – Power & Energy to join our Bangalore engineering team and support international substation and power infrastructure projects. The role will be responsible for the primary engineering and design of HV/EHV substations, ensuring compliance with applicable international standards, client specifications, and project requirements.

What you'll do

• Develop primary substation designs for HV/EHV substations, including AIS/GIS systems and associated equipment
• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, sections and elevations
• Develop substation layouts considering electrical clearances, equipment arrangement, access, maintainability and constructability
• Prepare equipment specifications and data sheets for transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, VTs/CVTs, surge arresters, busbars and other primary equipment
• Undertake busbar and equipment sizing , electrical clearances and related primary design calculations

What you need

• 8–15 years in mechanical & production
• SCADA
• B.Tech or B.E.
