Principal Lattice Tower Detailer

About the role

This position is accountable to provide all design activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including all of WSP's policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Serve as a Principal Detailer for high-voltage HVAC lattice transmission towers, supporting new tower designs, modifications, upgrades, rebuilds, and asset replacement projects.

What you'll do

• Serve as a Principal Detailer for high-voltage HVAC lattice transmission towers, supporting new tower designs, modifications, upgrades, rebuilds
• Develop and oversee detailed lattice tower models, fabrication drawings, assembly and erection drawings, member and connection details, bolt schedules
• Prepare and validate design and construction deliverables, including 2D/3D CADD models, fabrication packages, construction drawings, and as-built documentation
• Use AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bocad, and other applicable detailing tools to develop accurate tower models and drawings
• Review engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and as-built information to ensure accurate detailing and identify design discrepancies
