Product Design Technician - Level II - OFFC

About the role

The Product Design Technician – Level II creates and maintains engineering specifications for Cummins products, including 3D CAD models, assemblies, and production drawings. The role ensures that product specifications meet Cummins, industry, national, and international standards while maintaining high levels of design quality, accuracy, and configuration control.

What you'll do

• Create, modify, and maintain 3D component and assembly models using Creo based on engineering requirements, design inputs, packaging constraints, and applicable standards
• Support engineers in developing CAD concepts and basic design solutions for assigned EBU components and assemblies
• Apply mechanical design principles to develop accurate and practical design concepts that meet product and customer requirements
• Escalate complex design or technical decisions to the responsible engineer or technical lead
