Program Associate - Strategic Public Finance

About the role

As a Program Associate (PA) within the Strategic Public Finance team, you will support state-level public finance engagements by taking ownership of first-cut analysis, policy research, comparative analysis and assisting team members on research tasks across the project lifecycle. This is an entry-level, execution-heavy role built for highly motivated individuals willing to learn public finance and governance.

What you'll do

• Cleans, structures, and validates raw fiscal, budget, and administrative datasets ahead of analysis – this is the core, recurring responsibility of the role
• Builds and maintains organised data files and trackers, flags inconsistencies, and follows documented data-cleaning protocols set by senior team members
• Research & Analytical Support
• Conducts research, root cause analysis, and quantitative and qualitative analysis of state fiscal systems, revenue mobilisation
• Prepares high-quality presentations, policy briefs, and concept notes for senior government officials and internal leadership
