Project Engineer (Product quality control)

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for collaborating with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations. Monitors supplier performance and supports efforts to develop and implement changes to improve the production process. Follows up with suppliers on quality deviations and ensures that solutions are identified and implemented.

What you'll do

• Monitor supplier quality performance and drive improvement actions. Lead supplier non-conformance investigations and corrective actions using tools such as 8D, 5 Why
• Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and follow-up activities. Support qualification of new suppliers and supplier development initiatives. Review supplier…
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve supplier-related issues
• Analyze supplier performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and support continuous manufacturing activities at supplier locations

What you need

• 4–8 yrs of experience
• Quality control
• ISO 9001
• Root cause analysis
• B.Tech or B.E.
