Purchase Officer (Civil Construction)

About the role

The Purchase Officer is responsible for procuring construction materials, equipment, and subcontracting services required for civil construction projects. The role involves vendor identification, price negotiation, purchase order management, inventory coordination, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials while adhering to project budgets and company procurement policies.

What you'll do

• Plan and procure construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements
• Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare comparative statements
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely order processing
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and stores to understand material requirements
