Research Associate

About the role

The role focuses on scaling up unit operations safely and cost-effectively through engineering calculations, troubleshooting plant deviations (OOS/failed batches), and coordinating with cross-functional teams (CFT) to ensure seamless execution, regulatory compliance, and capacity enhancement. Understanding the process details with the concerned scientist through lab-level experiments and discussing potential operational challenges at the plant level.

What you'll do

• Drive the successful lab-scale demonstration, process optimization, and technology transfer of new synthetic molecules from R&D to full-scale manufacturing
• Optimizing operational parameters across various unit operations (e.g., crystallization, distillation, drying, extraction) based on energy efficiency, cost reduction
• Identifying facility requirements, including equipment and utilities, required for smooth production execution
• Investigating root causes for failed plant batches and conducting laboratory trials to implement corrective solutions
• Driving solvent recovery initiatives and optimizing process parameters for system capacity enhancement
