Senior Data Engineer - Freelance

About the role

This is a hands-on role that blends business and data responsibilities. Your time will be split approximately 70% on client delivery and 30% internal (capability building, reusable assets, innovation, growth, etc).

What you'll do

• Lead requirements discovery and translate business questions into data/measurement solutions
• Design data models (dimensional/star schemas) to support scalable reporting and self-serve analytics
• Design and model data across various cloud data warehouses (BigQuery/Snowflake/Databricks/Redshift) from marketing, web/app, and e-commerce sources
• Articulate, design and develop BI dashboards and custom reporting experiences using tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI and Tableau
• Establish data quality, monitoring, documentation, and governance practices
