Senior Electrical Components Quality Engineer- Wire Wound & Electrolytic Caps

About the role

This role is responsible for ensuring the selection, quality, reliability, and performance of wire wound and analog components specialized in electrolytic capacitors used across Generac’s energy products. The successful candidate will work with electrical design team and support in component selection, their in-circuit performance verification, lead supplier qualification activities, and manage the technical aspects of assigning electronic commodities.

What you'll do

• Participate in design reviews with Electrical Engineering, contributing to the development and validation of electrical systems, including schematics, PCB layouts
• Utilize circuit simulation tools such as LTspice to analyze and validate electrical designs, ensuring component selection meets performance, reliability
• Provide technical quality support for transformers, inductors, chokes, and other magnetic components, including review of component drawings, specifications
• Audit magnetics manufacturing processes, including core assembly, winding, wire handling, insulation, soldering, termination, varnishing, and final testing
• Apply strong knowledge of power electronics, including high-frequency AC-DC, DC-AC, and DC-DC conversion topologies
